A Space Without A Goal

"If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite." - William Blake
Made or non-made, we have to think everything into existence.
The stuff of the universe is mindstuff.
Whether we're talking made reality (the WWW or a cartoon or a book or a table) or non-made reality (the stuff we think we were living in), it's the same stuff. Our thought is sublime. We're all connected.
Each one of us is a reflection of the universe. We are as symbols.
"The symbol is an object pointing to a subject. We are summoned to a deeper spiritual awareness, far beyond the level of subject and object." - Joseph Campbell
It took Microsoft Network a matter of hours to realize they had lost when they tried to take on the web.
The web is a place where we can bring everyone together. To chat. To think. To share.
Hi, everybody.
We have always been connected. Everybody off-web is on-web, too. We're all Webbed.
To exist, ya gotta share.
Mid-November, 1995: Almost no one had heard of the Web a year ago. The recent Nielsen report announced that the average American is spending as much time on the Net as she is watching rented videocassettes. The web is a vacuum.
"What's that sucking sound?" - John Perry Barlow
There's no need to be afraid of the truth. Let go.
When we give up worrying about looking stupid, we free ourselves. Let go.
Everyone's a mystic.
Open your eyes to the notion that all is truth. There's no need to control it.
Copying, for one ain't ignoble. Our attitude toward it is.
Copyright is a corrupt notion. The sublime is intrinsically sacrificial.
Copying is life breaking free. Made or non-made, it's the same. Sublime.
Let life live.
Let Death live. Let go.
"I've been freed from the self
that pretends to be someone,
And in becoming no-one,
I begin to live. It is worthwhile dying,
to find out what life is."
- T. S. Eliot
In this world of death is eternal life.
"Is there any notion of north or south, or east or west, in cyberspace?" - Michel Dujol
To think is to voyage. Mystics voyage. We are all mystics.
Reason is an attempt to force reality.
We can't force primary reality. If we do, it bites.
The ecological crisis is a primary reality bite.
Ouch.
Force reality, and it bites your ass.
All is flow.
Don't worry about the crap we get on the web. The sooner we sweat it out, the better. There's room for crap. Don't push it down.
Fragmentation holds the seed of its undoing. The sublime is interconnected. Things tend toward the sublime.
Your head's a web site. A movie's a web site. A handshake's a web site. A kiss is a website.
Don't worry about your role in life. Life isn't a role. Let go.
There is no knowable. plan. Nothing is guaranteed.
Do not dismiss the thoughts of others. Hold them. Let them go.
There's nothing special about mysticism. Be intuitive. Change your mind. Changing your mind is the essence of mysticism. We are all mystics.
Sex, in all its forms, is transcendental. Then again, so's everything else.
Universal acceptance of connected mind is inevitable. The pull of interconnected reality subverts linear approaches hands down.
"It's steam engines when it comes steam engine time." - Charles Fort
"All humanity is about to be born in an entirely new relationship to the universe." - Buckminster Fuller
Through the ages, there has always been talk of interconnectedness. The made web pulls us, collectively, over the edge.
Cyberspace is a state of mind.
To exist, you must share.
Lunacy is a state of mind. The web helps us see wot is and wot ain't.
Bad begets bad. Good begets good. All is flow.
Everything responds.
Our senses are senses of response.
Our senses are senses of the Infinite.
Be kind to complete strangers. It's cool. It works.
To describe trusting to your intuition, trust to your intuition.
If these ideas seem chaotic, that's the price you pay for describing chaos. :-)
Thoughts are chaotic. Primary reality is chaotic. Let go.
Designing cyberspace, fabricating reality, will emerge as a sacred tradition.
Fabricating reality is artful. So is living it.
Living with chaos requires living artfully.
We're all average. It's just that average is transcendental.
The strongest sacrifice more.
"Giving happens not from a space of sacrifice, or self-righteousness, or an idea of spirituality, but for the pure pleasure of it - because it's fun." - Shakti Gawain
Creativity is a sense of the future.
A hyperlink is an ascent.
Connections change us.
Life is a question, not an answer.
Because reality stems from the psyche, it refers to the psyche.
Sharing has always been profitable. Just that the answers we've been living with don't, for the most part, reflect that fact.
Our lives are the ones we make, the ones we think. Our thoughts are everyone's. We are One.
"Mythologies and their deities are productions and projections of the psyche. What gods are there, what gods have there ever been, that were not from man's imagination...since such images stem from the psyche, they refer to the psyche. They tell us of its structure, its order and its forces, in symbolic terms." - Joseph Campbell
"There were formerly horizons within which people lived and thought and mythologized. There are now no more horizons." - Joseph Campbell
"The world is large, but in us it is deep as the sea." - Rilke
Giving becomes its own reward.
For Michel and Helene.
