I think I will give up authorship but then (someone might justifiable object either way) it is either a simple thing for me to do, who has hardly earned it, or (again) it is an easy thing to say when your authorship is in some sense recognized. Even so I never want to write alone again. (Though am less certain whether I would, or could, give up reading alone.)

Which brings to mind two questions I often ask (myself):

1) What can an author do that is different from what a reader can do? (not what more but rather what different).

2. Who is the killer app supposed to kill?
