How World3 came to be at scribble.com
(or The Beauty of the 'tar' Command)

Many, many, many years ago, I met Nick Routledge in a far-away place known as "Los Angeles". Since then, we have both escaped.

How could I not like Nick? Anyway, we kept in touch. Years passed and World3 remained as it originally was (molded by the hands of Nick). At some point, www.world3.com (and other associated domains, such as noosphere.com) lapsed, and World3 became left as an electronic orphan.

Things happened, and Nick and I "coincidently" found ourselves once again geographically near each other (although never around each other enough). A mutual friend suggested to me that I revive the lost tarball of World3 on my server. So I did.

And thus I give you World3 -- just as it was when its previous hosts bundled it up in the mid-90s, and Nick went on to higher pursuits.

I am proud to help my friend Nick live on in the virtual realm that he so gently reigned over so many moons ago.
